Big Girl Bed

Well, Juliet has been officially potty trained for about two weeks now, so it was time to say goodbye to the crib.

I shopped for deals for weeks for bedding and after waiting too long to pull the trigger on two items I'd been considering, I finally picked this quilt from PB Teen. I was nervous but loved it in person!

The bed frame came in today (quite early!) and so did the bedding, so when B had to go to Fort Worth anyway today, I talked him into picking up the mattresses, which he had to strap to the top of the Enclave and tie down with rope that he clung to through the sunroof the whole way home which he did via the access road going 30 mph. Now that's a devoted daddy!

Once he got home, we had to crazy rush to take apart the crib, put together the bed frame, attach the headboard and footboard and make the bed before bedtime.

Juliet had no idea when she walked into her room that she was getting a new bed. She was so excited!! Robby was mollified by the new puzzle on his bed, which was good :)

After putting her down, she got up five times to "potty" before we let her know that if it happened again, her favorite stuffed animal would not get to sleep in the big girl bed.

It will be interesting, to say the least, to see what time she gets up tomorrow . . . but I am so glad she loves it :)
